found things

i found this bit of plate in my garden the other day. I really like it but its so strange because a few weeks ago a friend gave me this tin

she told me that the top of it was from an old plate that had been dropped in a river somewhere (can't remember where) a long time ago and the chips had been collected to make things. Interesting how underneath all the water and dirt and building rubble there are such beautiful things.

other things i've found:

this beautiful piece of japanese fabric

this is a little crazy but i have these vents near the ceiling of my room and at a certain time of evening, the sun shines through the gaps and i get this beautiful projection of trees and clouds on to the walls. It's only tiny but i rather like it!

i don't know what i've been doing for the last month..

I'm sure I have actually done something remotely productive but I don't seem to have anything to show for it other than random photos i've taken of walls and fences.

However, on to bigger and better things - i am having an exhibition in February and I will also have a stall at the Christmas Perth Upmarket on November 29th. I think it will be my last market for a little while so I can devote all attention to bigger works.
P.S. if anyone knows of any nice walls or overgrown gardens around, let me know!
Also, totally unrelated, I just discovered this recently and I kind of want one..
